National cultural exchange comedy project and tour featuring five comedians from Saudi Arabia and special guests visits Frisco
Los Angeles, CA – November 10, 2016 — The ‘Sand Up Comedy’ tour made its debut in San Francisco on Wednesday night at Cobb’s Comedy Club and will return on Thursday, November 10th with a second show. Hosted by actor and comedian Ahmed Ahmed, the San Francisco dates will also feature special guest Dhaya Lakshminarayanan and Tehran.
‘Sand Up Comedy’ launched earlier this week in Los Angeles with Tom Green performing two sets at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank. ‘Sand Up Comedy’ is a “first-of-its-kind” comedy project and tour featuring five comedians from Saudi Arabia. The tour’s lineup boast the incomparable talents of Khalid Khalifa, Shakir Sharif, Thamer Alhazmi, Yaser Bakr, and comedienne Lama Alfard. After gaining notoriety in Saudi Arabia and some instances throughout the world, these comedic entertainers introduce a one-of-a-kind experience of hilarious stand-up skits and unstoppable laughs. Following the welcome reception, ‘Sand Up Comedy’ will launch with a one-week mentorship seminar led by renowned actor and US comedian Ahmed Ahmed followed by ten live stand-up performances.
